“Sacrament of Love”, a contemporary Adoration song, invites listeners to spend time with Jesus, just as our Lord invited His disciples to be with Him during His hour of solitude, loneliness, and anguish in the Garden of Gethsemane while His apostles slept. The songwriters reflect on what it must be like for Jesus to spend so much time alone in the tabernacles throughout the world. They convey a message that all of us, moved by compassion and a desire to please God, can give Him solace. According to Saval, “If we can be His companions, in His presence, however briefly during the day or night, how that must warm His Heart.”
“Today’s contemporary Christian music doesn’t always reflect on particularly Catholic theology or practices, ” Saval said. “In this song, the Eucharist (the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ,) otherwise named the ‘Sacrament of Love,’ is front and center.”

Song lyrics

O Sacrament of Love
I kneel in humility
That the Great and Mighty King
Would thirst for me
Let me keep you company
In the garden
So my heart
It does not harden

O Sacrament of Love
O Sacrament of Love
Lord I Come
To sit quietly with you here
In this silent lonely space
O Sacrament of Love
I seek you face to face

At Your feet I sit
Knowing I’m here in your Presence
Trusting in your Promise
That you have never left us

Let My Adoration never cease
So I may know your True Peace
I’ll go back to this Holy Hour
Filled with Your Glory and Power

O Sacrament of Love
O Sacrament of Love
Lord I Come
To sit quietly with you here
In this silent lonely space
O Sacrament of Love
I seek you face to face

May your love be always before me
May your light be there to guide me
For your praise and for your glory
May your love be always before me

May your love be always before me
May your light be there to guide me
For your praise and for your glory
May your love be always before me

O Sacrament of Love
O Sacrament of Love
Lord I Come
To sit quietly with you here
In this silent lonely space
O Sacrament of Love
I seek you face to face
